We’re Phil and Nicola, two Alton locals with a deep love for animals, nature and doing things the right way. We didn’t grow up in agriculture, but we’ve always believed in the importance of ethical, sustainable living. Over time, we felt a strong pull to give something back. Not just to the land, but to our local community and the next generation.

So we did something bold. We bought a piece of land and created Carcini Hill Farm from scratch.

​

It’s now a growing, working farm where we raise grass-fed sheep and lambs, care for our quirky alpacas, look after our pigs and ducks, and tend to our treasured beehives. These hives produce the pure, organic honey we sell and use to run our popular honey courses.

As parents of not one, but two sets of twins, we care deeply about what goes into young bodies and the world we’re handing over to them. That’s why we farm without harsh chemicals, without shortcuts, and always with care.

Carcini Hill Farm is still evolving. We’re not rushing or scaling for the sake of it. We’re building slowly and with intention, making sure every part of the farm reflects our values and our love for this land.

Phil also works at the local Community Centre and you’ll often find one or both of us chatting with neighbours, welcoming visitors or simply walking the fields. Because for us, this isn’t just about farming. It’s about connection — to food, to nature, and to each other.
